The GCT file can be used in the MIT GeneCluster application.
This is a tab delimited file with the following format:

The J-Express File is a generic tab delimited file that is easy to use in J-Express.
It is of the format:

Internet Explorer users may experience difficulty loading the text file into Genesis. Check the file and remove any blank lines at the bottom of the file. Genesis counts the number of lines in the file to see the number of genes. Internet Explorer will sometimes insert some new lines at the bottom of the file when doing a 'Save As'.

(In Internet Explorer, the best way to save a file without inserting new lines is to right click the screen and scroll down to 'view source'. This opens the file in a text editor. Then you can save the file.)

The Excel file is a generic tab delimited file that contains call values
as well as datavalues.
It has the following format:
To save our text format, open the *.txt file and from the 'File' option of the menu click 'Save As' and name the file with a *.txt file extension.
To convert our text file to an Excel file, open up Excel and in the 'File' option of the menu click 'Open'. Select to view 'Files of type: Text Files'. Open your file and select tabs as the delimiter. After the file is open save it as an Excel Workbook.
(Note: The Excel conversion can be done with any of our file formats. Our format may include a little more data.)
